【摘要】
We explain how to construct infinitely many coannular pi-1 injective surfaces in a cusped hyperbolic 3-manifold, and how to construct a sequence of asymptotically geodesic (but not totally geodesic) hypersurfaces in arithmetic hyperbolic manifolds of type I. They reflect flexibility and rigidity of hyperbolic geometry. This is based on two papers joint with Zhenghao Rao, Jia Wan, and Ruojing Jiang.
